We are currently seeking a Fleet Scheduler experienced in containers to lead a team of Professional Truck Drivers on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will suit a transport professional with a high degree of initiative and the ability to exceed our customers’ expectations.
About the role:
- Using the 1stop system to manage container bookings
- Scheduling a fleet of trucks and professional drivers
- Managing client booking times
- Customer relationship management
- Ensuring the safety of staff and customers
- Assisting the wider Operations team
- Assisting the drivers with maintaining all licences/qualifications/inductions and VOC’s
- Ability to work both within a team and autonomously when required
- Administration – data entry
About you:
- MUST have an understanding and experience with container tracking and use of EDO’s
- Ability to multitask is essential
- Have an eye for detail
- Outstanding attitude & customer focus
- Experience with Translogix & MT Data operating systems is highly desirable
- A comprehensive understanding of load restraint principles, fatigue management guidelines and COR legislation
- The ability to communicate effectively with drivers, management and our customers
